 Reportage et photographies de l'histoire de 25 familles émigrées.
Le livre mettra en vedette l'histoire d'environ 25 familles provenant de Picinisco, petit village pittoresque, mais important des Apennins italiens situés entre Rome et Naples. Un nombre étonnant d'italiens de ce village de montagnes ont émigrés en Grande-Bretagne, en particulier l'Écosse, depuis la fin du XIXe siècle. Ils ont travaillé comme modèles masculins pour les artistes peintres, ils ont fabriqué et vendu de la crème glacée, Ils ont tenu des boutiques de "FISH and CHIPS". Ils ont été tailleurs ou restaurateurs. Beaucoup sont toujours, aujourd'hui, occupés dans l'entreprise familiale, tandis que d'autres se sont orientés vers d'autres professions. Presque tous conservent une affection particulière avec le village et y reviennent aussi souvent que possible.
Photographe, avocat et descendant de Picinisco, des familles De Marco et Crolla, Nick De Marco, durant l'année 2010, photographiera un certain nombre de familles dans leur milieu actuel en Grande-Bretagne. Avec chaque portrait de famille, il mettra en vedette, au travers d'anciennes photographies, l'histoire de celles-ci dès leurs arrivées en Grande-Bretagne ainsi que l'histoire de leurs entreprises.
La production du livre aura lieu tout au long de 2010 et l'objectif est de le publier au début de l'année 2011.

 A photographic story of a lasting migration following 25 families
The book will feature the stories of (approximately) 25 families originating from Picinisco, the tiny but important picturesque village in the Italian Apennines between Rome and Naples. A surprising number of Italians from the mountain village migrated to Britain, in particular Scotland, from the end of the nineteenth century onwards. They worked as male models for the Pre-Raphaelites, Ice Cream makers and salesman, Fish and Chip shop proprietors, tailors and restaurateurs. Many are still involved in the traditional family business, whilst others have branched out into other professions. Nearly all retain an affection and special link with the village, returning every time they can.
Photographer, barrister and descendant of Picinisco's De Marco and Crolla families, Nick De Marco, will photograph a number of high quality "environmental portraits" of the families in their business surroundings from all quarters of Britain during 2010. Together with each family portrait will be a page featuring digitally restored vintage family photographs of the early ancestors of each family who first arrived or opened businesses in Britain, and the brief story of that family's move and life in Britain.
Production of the book will take place throughout 2010 and the aim is to publish it early in 2011.
